On 9 December, 1974, Professor Walter Guyton Cady, the inventor of Frequency Control by quartz crystals, died one day short of his lOOth birthday. Twelve years before he had returned to live in the fine old home of his birth on Brown University Hill in Providence, Rhode Island, U.S.A.
