A Study on the Correlation between Video Images and Color Analysis

The colors that we see and feel in our daily life exist complexly, not singularly. In the colors, all the processes that human beings feel the colors, such as contrast, harmonies, and assimilation, are included. Therefore, while each color is compared, people can feel various senses. This influence of the colors becomes a preferable color or a hateful color to each individual, and further, it becomes a symbolical visual language that represents a group or a district. It is video art that can express it most remarkably. Video art is an art of colors and light. However, the color of light is not used as the effect of a visual stimulus only. When an artist chooses a color, the judgment of his/her immanent learning works. Once the color in herself consciousness meets the color in his/her unconsciousness in reality, another world of colors is created. This paper intends to apply this theoretical concept to the study of video colors objectively and further, to think about the meaning of the colors in media art.
