Çanakkale İlinde Yetiştirilen Kısa Tüylü Türk Kedisi’nin Tanimlanması

Apart from cat breeds of Angora and Van there is a short hair cat breed in whole part of Turkey which is known but never searched before yet. After the project was approved in 11.11.2013 all of counties of Canakkale were visited and searched on native cats. First some equipments and consumables mentioned in the project were bought in November 2013. Later than field works started in December 2013. City centre of Bozcaada and some villages in Canakkale central county, Ayvacik, Bayramic, Can, Yenice, Lapseki, Biga, Eceabat, Gelibolu, Ezine, and Gokceada counties were visited several times and cats were photographed. In total 84 cats were photographed and some morphological trais were detected by using ImgProPlus6 program. At the end data observed were analyzed by using ANOVA statistical program. As a result the traits of shoulder height, body length, chest depth, tail length and cannon circumferences were found as 22.33±0.225, 26.90±0.335, 10.76±0.698, 30.20±0.278 ve 5.87±0.792 cm resptectively.
