The comparison of hydrostatic and hydrodynamic transmissions in the mobile vehicles

In this study the different power transmission ways are compared. The hydrostatic, hydrodynamic and also some hybrid transmissions are handled. The theoretical background of the transmissions are shown in the paper. The study is done by comparing the following items - efficiency of the system, - control of the system, - torque transmission in both directions, - braking effect, - energy recovery, - speed and torque conversion, - power split in different working actions, - etc. The typical applications of different power transmission ways are handled. The selection factors of transmissions to the different applications will be shown in the paper.
