Metabolic Products of Fusarium acuminatum: Acuminatopyrone and Chlamydosporol.

Two metabolic products of a non-toxic strain of Fusarium acuminatum are shown to be 4-methoxy-5,6-dimethyl-2H-pyrano[2,3-b]pyridin-2-one (acuminatopyrone) and trans-7,8-dihydro-7-hydroxy-4-methoxy-7,8-dimethyl-2H,5H-pyrano[4,3-b]pyran-2-one (chlamydosporol).
