Dismantling Indias contraceptive target system: an overview and three case studies.

This book chapter examines the dynamics of this shift at the level of service delivery as embodied in the Community Needs Assessment approach and the Reproductive and Child Health program. It provides an overview of Indias contraceptive target system and three case studies that reveal the extent to which the interpretation implementation and impact of national policies and programs vary at the local level; as well as suggest principles and procedures that can promote further change.
