Carcinoma de células de Merkel em extremidade inferior

O Carcinoma de Celulas de Merkel (CCM) e umaneoplasia cutânea rara. Existe predilecao pelo sexomasculino e por idosos, e ocorre, geralmente, em areasexpostas ao sol. Existe menos de 600 casos na literatura,apresentando-se clinicamente como uma lesao nodular, decoloracao vermelho-azulada e de crescimento rapido. Cercade 50% dos pacientes, eventualmente, desenvolve doencasistemica, sendo os sitios mais comuns o figado, os ossos eo cerebro. A etiologia ainda e desconhecida. Apresentamosum novo caso de CCM em extremidade, tratado comresseccao local e radioterapia adjuvante. Apresentouadenopatia inguinal no 3o mes de pos-operatorio, sendosubmetida a linfadenectomia inguinal radical.(AU) Merkel Cell Carcinoma is a rare cutaneousneoplasia. There is an inclination for males and elderlypeople, and it happens, usually, in areas exposed tothe sun. There are few more than 600 cases in theliterature, clinically presenting itself as a nodular injury,of bluish-red color and of fast growth. Around 50%of the patients, eventually, develop systemic disease,being the most common sites the liver, the bones andthe brain. The etiology is still unknown. We present anew case of MCC in extremity, treated with localresection and adjuvant radiotherapy. It presentedinguinal adenopathy in the third post-surgery month,being submitted to radical inguinal lymphadenectomy.(AU)
