Experimental investigation of charge symmetry breaking effects in the reaction 4He(,3He)3H between Ed = 32 and 50MeV

1988
Abstract Complete angular distributions of the differential cross section σ, the vector analyzing power A y and the tensor components A yy and A xx of the 4 He( d , 3 He) 3 H reaction were measured at E d = 32.1, 35.15, 39.6, 44.9 and 49.7 MeV. The angular distribution of the tensor analyzing power A xz was measured at 35.15 MeV. The measurements have been carried out with high precision and the polarization data have been calibrated by the dα elastic scattering. The results have been analyzed in terms of Legendre polynomials. Charge symmetry breaking effects have been investigated by observing the deviations from the forward/backward angular symmetry.
