Motivos literarios en las fuentes andalusíes: retórica y realidad histórica

EnglishThe rulers of al-Andalus made use of several of the literary topoi and honorific nicknames of Middle Eastern stock in order to gain both legitimacy and to express their allowance as members of the greatest culture of the moment, the Muslim-Arabic. In the following pages we will focus on the different ways that were developed in order to adopt these practices and how the alqāb granted coherency to the process, taking examples from the history of alMuc taḍiḍ b. cAbbād.
