Relationship bewteen the expression of of Survivin protein and the apoptosis of keratinoeytes and its significance in condyloma acuminatum

2010
Objective To explore the role of Survivin protein in the occurrence and development of condyloma acuminatum( CA) . Methods The expression of Survivin protein and apoptosis index of keratinocytes in 56 cases of condyloma acminatum tisuses( observed group) were detected using the technology of immunohistochemistry and TUNEL,then compared with those in 25 cases of normal skin tissues( control group) . Results The positive rate of Survivin protein were 64. 29% ( 36 /56) ,4. 00% ( 1 /25) in observed group and control group respectively,P 0. 01; the apoptosis index of keratinoeytes were ( 9. 73 ± 3. 51) % ,( 0. 95 ± 0. 16) % respectively,P 0. 01; the apoptosis index of the cases with positive and negative expression of Survivin protein in observed group were ( 6. 16 ± 2. 58) % ,( 14. 31 ± 5. 14) % respectively,P 0. 05. The expression of Survivin protein was negatively correlated with the apoptosis index ( r =-0. 694,P 0. 05) . Conclusion There is over expression of Survivin protein in CA tissues, which can inhibit the apoptosis of keratinocytes and improve the occurrence and development of CA.
