Charge ordering and spin dynamics in NaV2O5

Abstract We report on an inelastic neutron scattering study performed in the spin ladder compound NaV 2 O 5 . The dispersion of the magnetic excitations has been studied along the rungs ( a ∗ -axis) and legs ( b ∗ -axis) in the charge ordered phase. Our results allow us to propose a model for the charge ordering and the magnetic correlations.
