Color Doppler for clildren abdominal neuroblastoma diagonostic value

Objective:To evaluate the diagonostic value of Color Doppler for children abdominal neuroblastoma.Methods:We reviewed the images of color Doppler ultrasonography of 32 children with neuroblastoma who presented from january 1998 to January 2008.Results:30 cases of children with neuroblastoma,including 28 cases in the adrenal area,2 cases in the pelvic cavity.Ultrasonography demonstrated invasion of the liver in 6 patients and invasion of the kidney in 12 patienrs,2 cases of which were misdiagnosed as renal blastoma.Colour Doppler signals showed strip blood flow within the masses.18 cases surrounding the abdominal aorta and inferior vena cava,renal artery and vein,superior mesenteric artery and vein and other large vessels.Conclusion:Color Doppler ultrasound have important value to the final diagnosis of neuroblastoma and the development and follow-up of surgical treatment.
