Composition of the Essential Oil from the Seeds of Abies marocana

Abstract The essential oil from the seeds of Abies marocana Trabut (Pinaceae), collected in northern Morocco, has been analyzed by GC-FID, GC/MS and NMR techniques. The main component was the monoterpene (−)-limonene (more than 70% of the oil) plus lesser quantities of numerous sesquiterpenoids, accounting in all for more than 90% of the total oil composition.
