Branched nanorods-built MoO3 film with excellent electrochemical performance for energy storage

Abstract Branched nanorods-built MoO3 film (E-500) is fabricated by etching and followed oxidation of Mo foil. However, directly oxidation of Mo foil results in nanoparticle-based films. It is confirmed that the conductivity and electrochemical performance of nanorods-built MoO3 film are much higher than that of nanoparticle-based MoO3 film. More specifically, E-500 exhibits 116.7 mF cm−2 even at 20 mA cm−2.
