The method comprises the following steps: receiving a command for showing pictures in a file folder; loading a preset quantity of pictures into an equipment screen for showing, wherein the preset quantity is the quantity of pictures which can be shown by the equipment screen; receiving a command for moving a display interface forwards; judging whether the pictures shown on the equipment screen are hidden outside the equipment screen or not after the display interface is moved forwards in real time, if so, recovering an internal storage of the pictures hidden outside the equipment screen, and loading pictures which are arranged behind the present quantity of pictures shown on the equipment screen and of which the quantity is the same as the pictures in the recovered internal storage onto the equipment screen for showing. According to the method and the device, the consumption of the internal storage by a large batch of pictures and a CPU (Central Processing Unit) can be lowered to the maximum extent, the large batch of pictures are shown on the equipment rapidly, efficiently and smoothly, and the running efficiencies of the equipment and applications are increased greatly.
