25.3: Perceptually Linear Gamma Correction for LCDs

This paper proposes a natural and accurate approach how to design perceptually linear “gamma correction”1 for LCD. It is based on two advanced technologies: piece-wise TRC (tone reproduction curve) model of electro-optical property for LCD device, and DICOM grayscale function of optical-perceptual characteristic for human visual system.
