Crime and Race

The systemic association of race and crime has a negative impact on individuals and groups in general and people of color specifically. This analysis of race and crime attempts to describe and explain the phenomenon. The impact of race and crime includes racial stereotyping, racial profiling, driving while black or brown, redlining in jobs and housing, disproportionate arrests and incarceration, and violence and death.
