Wave transmission and reflection at the boundary of phononic crystals

The investigations presented in this paper aim optimization sound protection properties of materials based on phononic crystals. For this purpose one need take into consideration phononic crystals passbands and wave transmission at the boundary of material components. This paper concerns low frequency acoustic waves propagation in one dimensional two component phononic crystals. The low frequency passband width dependencies on phononic crystals parameters are studied and the computations of acoustic wave transmission at the boundary of two phononic crystals or at the boundary of phononic crystal and uniform media are presented.
