Validation of Kinetic Model of Naphta Reforming Reactor for Optimizatio of Process

Various mathematical and kinetic models have been already developed for the simulation analysis of Naphtha Catalytic Reformer of petroleum refineries. The mathematical models are based on Runge Kutta Method and kinetic models based on Hougen-Watson Langmuir -Hinshelwood (HWLH). We have modified the models and are solved using ODE 45 solver of MATLAB to validate the data. The reformer operating conditions are optimized using the parameters inlet feed composition, reactor pressure and temperature and flow rate and to increase the production of high-octane fuel. The results validated that aromatics and hydrogen production increased along the length of reactor, and temperature reduced due to endothermic reactions.
