Thickened aqueous cleaning compositions and method of use

1992
Discloses aqueous cleaning compositions and methods of use as well as a thickening agent, which comprises one of the composition by weight of about 0.1% to about 10% of an alkyl ether sulfate surfactant, one selected from a functional group comprising terpene this type, of the composition by weight of about 0.01% to about 10% solvent and alkenyl derivatives of tertiary alcohols and an electrolyte component which is effective to increase the number of alkyl ether sulfate surfactant and solvent thickening effect. Electrolyte component preferably comprises an alkali metal hypochlorite, more preferably comprises at least one additional polyvalent electrolytes, such additional multivalent electrolyte is preferably sodium carbonate. For an electrolyte composition comprising hypochlorite, additional electrolyte and a solvent is selected to be one kind of bleach-stable fragrance, the solvent is preferably the composition.
