Boost Inverter Fed Three Phase Induction Motor for Off Grid PV Based Water Pumping System

Present work proposes a boost inverter fed induction motor for standalone water pumping systems suitable for off-grid PV installations. In this work focus has been given on drivability of induction motor for minimum available DC voltage input given to Boost inverter system for single stage three phase DC to AC conversion. For the proposed inverter the operating frequency is 50 Hz. Pulsewidth modulation (PWM) is discussed in this presented paper for the control strategy. Proposed model has been simulated for a switching frequency of 20KHz by using PWM technique. The simulation has been done taking the calculated parameters of a 1hp, 3-phase, 415 V star connected Induction Motor.
