TENDÊNCIAS DA TEMÁTICA ÉTICA EM SAÚDE NA PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA TENDENCIES ON THE ISSUE "ETHICS IN HEALTH" IN SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION TENDENCIAS DE LA TEMÁTICA ÉTICA EN SALUD EN LA PRODUCCIÓN CIENTÍFICA

A complexidade existente na area da saude dificulta a tomada de decisao do profissional ante a determinadas situacoes, tornando-se fundamental recorrer aos aspectos eticos existentes. Objetiva-se identificar artigos cientificos publicados sobre o tema etica em saude. Trata-se de estudo exploratorio descritivo e bibliografico. Foram selecionados 30 artigos entre os anos de 1995 e 2004 apresentados pelo Scielo e para estes se consideraram os seguintes dados: ano de publicacao, titulo do periodico, tipo e abordagem do estudo e tematica dos artigos. Observou-se um aumento crescente do numero de publicacoes referentes ao tema, decorrente em parte dos avancos biotecnologicos. Entretanto, predominaram publicacoes em revistas de saude publica, pois etica discute o bem-estar da coletividade. O tipo de estudo teoricoreflexivo foi o mais encontrado, por o tema abordado exigir pensamento critico. Conforme se conclui, discutir etica em saude requer fundamentacoes legais, morais e cientificas, a fim de assegurar o bem-estar do individuo e da sociedade. The existing complexity in the health area makes it difficult for the professional to take a decision before certain situations which makes it necessary to run over certain existing ethic aspects. This research aims to identify scientific articles published on the issue “ethics in health”. It is a descriptive, exploratory and bibliographical study for the accomplishment of which 30 articles published between the years 1995 to 2004 and available in the Scielo were selected. The following data were considered regarding such studies: year of publication, journal title, type and approach of the study, and the themes of the articles. An increase in the number of publications on this topic was observed, partly due to the biotechnological advances. However, there was a predominance of publications in public health journals since ethics discusses the collective well-being. Theoreticalreflexive studies were the type which was most frequently found since the theme considered requires critical thought. The conclusion was that a discussion on health ethics requires legal, moral as well as scientific foundations in order to insure the well-being not only of individuals but also of the society in general.
