The invention discloses a method for remotely monitoring road and bridge engineering machinery and belongs to road and bridge engineering machinery remote monitoring. The method includes a slave computer system and a host computer system. The slave computer system comprises an infrared camera, a fuel consumption sensor, a voltage sensor, a pressure sensor, a CAN bus, a GPS module, a single-chip computer, a fuel consumption anomaly alarm, a display module and a GPRS module. The method of the slave computer system is characterized in that various sensors are installed on engineering machinery equipment at a construction site to acquire data including the image, the fuel consumption, the voltage, the oil pressure and the positioning and moving trajectory of the engineering machinery equipment, and the single-chip computer processes the data, gives an alarm, displays the data, and remotely transmits the data. The host computer system is composed of a monitoring center server, a database server and a client display interface. The method of the host computer system is characterized by receiving, storing and processing the data transmitted via GPRS and displaying the data on the client. The method remotely monitors the road and bridge engineering machinery, and achieves centralized management on the road and bridge engineering machinery, ensures engineering progress, quality safety and reliable operation, and is good in practicality, low in cost and high in precision.
