Determination of Oxygen Saturation Based on Distorted Photoplethysmography Signals by Scaling Method

2018
This article presents a new method of estimation of a blood oxygen saturation, designed for use in high distorted photoplethysmography (PPG) signals in case of movement artefacts. This method is named Scaling Method (SM) and it is based on a calculated scaling factor between two PPG signals with various absorption coefficient. The SM method was designed to be used in wearable devices.
