Nonhuman Primate MHC Class II Sequences: A Compilation

The figures and tables that follow bring together the nonhuman primate class II sequences reported thus far. The compilation is in three parts, corresponding to separate DR (Table 2 and Fig. 2), DQ (Tables 3,4 and Fig. 3) and DP (Table 5 and Fig. 4) sections. The designations used are the standardized versions proposed by Klein et al. (1990). This compilation extends and updates those of O’hUigin et al. (1993) for nonhuman primate DR loci and of Bontrop (1994) for nonhuman primate DQ loci. The present and former compilations are limited to the variable second exon. References to species names are given in Table 1 and to synonyms and publications in Tables 2–5. Where differences were noted between GENBANK/EMBL/DDBJ entries and the sequences in original publications, the published version is used.
