Evaluation of Energy Saving and Consumption Reduction in Different Regions Based on Projection Pursuit Classification Model

Energy as one of the most important input factors to the increasing of economy plays the decisive role in the development of economy in different countries.20%energy saving in 2010 has been demanded in the 11th Five-Year Plan,which is necessary to the sustainable development of economy and the improvement of the living surrounding.The indices of energy saving and consumption reduction system are analyzed based on projection pursuit classification model.According to the optimum projection index values,the quantities of responsibility of energy saving and consumption reduction in each region are gained whose rationality is also discussed.Compared with the results based on Principal Component Analysis,the reasonability and feasibility of projection pursuit classification are also showed.
