Thermochemical Effects by Laser Irradiation of Some Solid Compounds

Different chemically activated media as a result of thermal action by cw laser radiation are experimentally studied. Emphasis is given to chemical reactions proceeding with or without constitutive water elimination and also with water elimination from hydrated crystals. It is shown that one of the main factors involved in the complex phenomena of these laser stimulated processes is the feedback between thermal and chemical degrees of freedom of the induced reaction.
