Audición en los adolescentes un programa multidisciplinario para su conservación y promoción

Multidisciplinary program implemented at CINTRA for holistic approach of social problem related with early hypoacusis before starting in the labour world. The program, addressed to the adolescents of Technical Schools of Cordoba city (Argentina), includes three areas: Research, with audiological, psicosocial, acoustic, genetic and statistic aspects, for stablishing relationships among them and analyzing their temporal evolution; Extension, with organization of activities addressed to different social areas, specially to the adolescents; Technology, with special developments to fulfill the requirements of standards for the measurements. These areas are described, pointing out the outstanding achievements and showing the principal results from the school where the program was begun. The studied adolescents were classified in four groups according to the audiometric results, establishing relationship with the rest of the audiological tests as well as with the psychosocial and acoustical variables.
