Biliary Taurocholate Excretion During the Metabolism of 2-Methyl-1, 4-Naphthoquinone (Menadione) in Perfused Rat Liver

1989
Menadione (2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone), a blood coagulant drug, is known to cause hemolysis and impaired liver function. We have investigated the metabolism of the drug and its effect on the hepatic uptake and biliary excretion of the bile acid taurocholate in the perfused rat liver.
