On the damage to the old structures of mausoleum of King Lujian caused by detonation

The mausoleum of King Lujian has a history of over 400 years. It had been destroyed several times in wars, but many old buildings are reserved in good condition. Fissures, tilts and collapse have been found in the mausoleum and old structures recently. Based on the field investigation, we think that the structure damages are not caused by ground fissure or fault activity, they are related to nearby frequent quarrying detonation, such as detonation at Fenghuangshan and Zhisan miountains. The test results show that the seismic intensity of a large detonation can be as great as Ⅳ～Ⅴ. A large detonation is equivalent to an earthquake. The quarrying detonations have resulted in fatal influence on and damages to the mausoleum of King Lujian and old structures.
