Novel SiO2/CaCO3-matrix red fluorescent powder and preparation method thereof

The invention discloses a novel SiO2/CaCO3-matrix red fluorescent powder having a chemical expression formula of (SiO2)x/CaCO3:Eu , wherein the molar ratio of Ca to Eu is 100 to 2, x represents the molar ratio of SiO2 to CaCO3, and 0.02<=x<=0.50. Moreover, the invention discloses a preparation method of the fluorescent powder. The preparation method comprises the steps: firstly, with solids EU(NO3)3, Na2SiO3 and CaO as raw materials, preparing an EU(NO3)3 solution with a certain concentration, an Na2SiO3 solution with a certain concentration and lime water slurry with a certain concentration, then introducing CO2 gas into the lime water slurry, carrying out a reaction to produce a precipitate, aging, carrying out suction filtration, washing, and drying, to obtain the SiO2/CaCO3-matrix red fluorescent powder. The fluorescent powder emits red fluorescence with the emission wavelength of 614 nm when excitated by a light source with the wavelength of 250-470 nm. With adopting of the carbonization method, preparation of calcium carbonate and a silica composite modification technology are combined in one, so that the experiment technological process is simplified; moreover, the fluorescent powder has wide applicability in macromolecular materials, not only has the fluorescent function, but also can enhance the binding force of inorganic fillers and a macromolecular system, and is conducive to improve the mechanical properties of composite materials.
