The invention discloses an automatic calibrating apparatus and a method based on a CCP (CAN (Controller Area Network) Calibration Protocol) protocol, relating to the technical field of automobile electronic control. The apparatus comprises a control module which is used for calibrating a device to be calibrated depending on a calibrating parameter; a storage module which is connected with the control module and is used for storing the calibrating parameter; and a communication module which is connected with the control module and is used for realizing communication between the control module and the device to be calibrated. According to the apparatus and the device, the device to be calibrated is calibrated by regulating a proportion coefficient between a theoretical circuit parameter of the apparatus to be calibrated and an actual circuit parameter; the apparatus and the device are suitable for calibrating electronic control units (ECU) of various cars, and are capable of satisfying requirements of rapid speed, accurate operation and high reliability in the offline production of the ECU.
