CONTRIBUTION OF NEUTRON-GAMMA PROBES TO THE STUDIES OF EXPERIMENTAL DRAINAGE PERIMETERS

1978
The results obtained with the neutron-gamma method on experimental drainage perimeters show the necessity of controlling the data collected on moisture content and density. In the first case a study is made of the rewetting of the soil, winter evolution in moisture reserves, water consumption of crops, certain hydric characteristics of the soil especially drainage porosity in silty soil. Example no 2 deals with problems of calibration, the general evolution in hydric profiles during one year of clayey soil containing chlorine. (TRRL)
