Detecting and diagnosis method of finding abnormal vibration in potential transformer of GIS

In order to avoid the occurrence of serious faults such as partial discharge and inner breakdown, the paper introduces an online detecting and diagnosis method using several detecting means. A method combined with ultra-high-frequency(UHF) method, ultrasonic method, high-frequency(UHF) method and decomposed product of SF 6 is used to find the abnormal vibration in the potential transformer (PT). Then mechanical vibration detecting method is used for further analysis. All these detecting results can be mutually verified to draw a reliable conclusion.
