Reattribution revisited:: A critical appraisal.

Several years after the publication of the reattribution techniques for the treatment of subacute somatisers in primary care, we have carried out a critical review based on intervention and follow-up studies on somatisation referred in the literature and in clinical, training and research experience. We shall discuss the main strengths and drawbacks of the techniques of reattribution and develop a slightly modified therapeutical approach named reattribution-internalization model.
