System monitoring for relocation of pos terminal and method of monitoring for relocation of pos terminal

2016
A system monitoring for relocation of a point of sale (POS) terminal and method of monitoring for relocation of a POS terminal. The method comprises: generating, by a POS terminal (100), sign-in information and transmitting, by the POS terminal (100), the sign-in information to a transaction server (400) (S100); obtaining, using a handset (200), according to a defined communication method, and from the POS terminal (100), the sign-in information, determining, according to a defined positioning method, a location of the handset (200) and employing location information of the handset (200) as sign-in location information, and transmitting, to the transaction server (400), the sign-in information and the sign-in location information (S200); determining, by the transaction server (400), whether the sign-in information transmitted from the POS terminal (100) and the sign-in location information transmitted from the handset (200) are consistent, if so, continuing a subsequent terminal relocation risk determination step, otherwise returning to a sign-in failure step (S300); and comparing the sign-in location information and shop location information stored in a shop database (700), if deviation between the sign-in location information and the shop location information is within a defined range, determining that there is no terminal relocation risk, otherwise, determining that there is a terminal relocation risk (S400). The method can effectively monitor whether a POS terminal is relocated.
