The thesis named „Electronic media supported French language learning on the elementary school level“ describes possibility of M-learning utilization as a teaching supplement and at the same time supporting motivation of students to learn vocabulary. The vocabulary is based on the elementary school textboook „Le francais ENTRE NOUS 1“. The theoretical part includes definition and analysis of learning strategies which were applied in the M-learning chapter. Subsequently we describe M-learning and its advantages as well as certain challenges – disadvantages. Further we mention devices that can be used for M-learning. At the end of the chapter about M-learning we analyse economical aspects related to creation of the M-learning content as well as cost of the procurement of devices supporting M-learning. In the practical part there is a description of the M-learning computer program, its functions and supported activities. Individual activities and description of the functions are explained in the students’ cards. In the teachers cards there is mentioned a possible teaching process supported by the M-learning activities. As a result of the thesis, there is a program containing lessons and activities for elementary school pupils learning French. The program is available on CD at the Faculty of pedagogy – The department of French language. The program can as well be used for the purposes of demonstration and further research of utilizing computer technology for language learning support.
