Vehicle power transmission

The invention relates to a method for improving driveability of a motor vehicle (100; 110) during a gear shift operation, there being an idle stage of a transmission (240) of a power transmission of the vehicle. The method includes the step of determining when a state of a clutch (235) of the vehicle (100; 110) from a first state to a second state. The method also includes the step of taking a control of a motor (230) of the vehicle (100; 110) if desired by a driver based on the determination, to control the gear shift in such a way automatically, that any desired gear step of the gearbox is inserted, and then of returning the control of the motor (230) of the vehicle (100; 110) to a driver. The invention also relates to a computer program product comprising program code (P) for a computer (200; 210) to perform a method according to the invention. The invention also relates to an apparatus and equipped with the apparatus of the motor vehicle.
