Point-of-Care Diagnostic Systems

As medical treatment and diagnostics have moved forward in leaps and bounds during the past century, both life expectancy and quality of life have also been on the rise. However, this is only true for the developed world, where modern medical facilities are easily accessible and affordable to most. Point-of-care diagnostic (POCD) systems emerged as a way to bridge that gap, by making cheap, reliable, and rapid diagnosis available to physicians and patients at the place and time of care.
