A magnetoresistive sensor chip having at least two formed as a half or full bridge measuring elements, the first of which a periodic output signal proportional to the cosine of twice the angle of the magnetic field direction from a line on the chip and each additional measuring element emits a periodic, differently phase-shifted to the signal of the first measuring element output signal wherein the magneto-resistive layer strips (4) that form the resistors of the respective measuring elements on the chip surface (1) and in areas (2) whose preferred directions (3) in the bridge arms, mutually perpendicular, housed (8 9) are, characterized in that the longitudinal directions of the magneto-resistive layer strips (4) or film strip sections (5) in pairs form equal positive and negative angle of inclination with the preferred directions of the respective areas (2).
