Risk factors for ventilator-associated pneumonia caused by Acinetobacter baumannii

2013
OBJECTIVE To explore the risk factors for ventilator-associated pneumonia(VAP) caused by Acinetobacter baumannii.METHODS The clinical data of 82 patients with A.baumannii VAP were collected. The patients were divided into groups A and B,the clinical data were compared between the two groups.RESULTS The CRP≥100 mg/L was significantly lower in A group than that in B group(48.7%vs30.2%);the logistic regression anacy sis showed that the BUN≥30 mg/dl(74.4% vs 44.2%),Cr1.6 mg/dl(56.4% vs 27.9%),WBC10.0×109/L or 4×109/L(69.2% vs 46.5%) were significantly lower in A group than that in B group(all P0.01),all the differenles were statistically significant(P0.05).CONCLUSION CRP≥100 mg/L,Cr1.6 mg/dl,and WBC10.0×109/L or 4×109/L are the independent risk factors that can predict the prognosis of the patients with A.baumannii VAP.
