Relationship between Poor Vision of Children and Content of Zn,Fe,Cr,Cu in Their Hair in Jilin Area

2005
Objective:To explore the relationship between poor vision of children and the content of Zn,Fe,Cr,Cu in their hair. Methods:To use standard logarithmic visional chart in 298 pupils. The normal group is children with double naked vision≥1.0 while the poor vision group is children with double naked vision1.0.The contents of Zn,Fe,Cr,Cu are measured by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Results:The rate of poor vision in the key school students is higher than that of the general school students(P0.001).The contents of Zn,Fe,Cr in the hair of the poor vision group are obviously lower than those of the contrastive normal group(P0.001,P0.05,P0.001).The contents of Zn and Cr in the poor vision group are lower than those of the normal group in the key school students(P0.05).The contents of Zn,Fe and Cr in the poor vision group are lower than those of the normal group in the general school students(P0.05).Conclusion:There is a close relationship between the contents of Zn,Fe,Cr and poor vision. We suggest that people should pay more attention to the sight of the children, enhance the nourishment and keep balance of microelements inside the body.
