Computer Model for Analyzing Electromagnetic Processes in Switched Reluctance Machines with Strong Mutual Inter-Phase Electromagnetic Influence

The paper dwells upon developing a computer model to analyze switched reluctance machines in the context of mutual inter-phase influence. The model is developed in MATLAB/Simulink. It is assumed that only immediately adjacent phases affect each other; the effects of other phases are neglected. Computer simulation visualizes how adjacent phases affect the phase-current curve. The developed model easily integrates in the electric drive model with a power and control system to test switched reluctance machines with mutual interphase inductance.
