The invention discloses a lead acid storage battery colloid clapboard and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method comprises the following steps of coating a polymer colloid layer on the surface of an AGM (absorptive glass mat) clapboard: mixing an anionic polyacrylamide water-soluble polymer with water according to a weight ratio of (5-10):1, performing gelatinizing treatment to prepare a polymer colloid, and coating the polymer colloid on the surface of the AGM clapboard to form the polymer colloid layer of which the thickness is 0.01-1mm; then performing drying to prepare the lead acid storage battery colloid clapboard. According to the lead acid storage battery colloid clapboard, the functionalized modified high hydroscopic polymer and an ultra-fine glass fiber material are used for preparing the colloid clapboard, and after the colloid clapboard is added into sulfuric acid electrolyte, the colloid clapboard and functionalized modified high hydroscopic resin form a gelatinous substance to achieve an effect of colloidal electrolyte, so that the problem that the colloidal electrolyte is not uniformly filled during production of a lead acid storage battery is solved.
