The present invention provides a method for preparing a crosslinked structure polyetherimide fiber membranes having their use as lithium ion battery separator. Soluble fusible material is a polyetherimide, prepared by electrospinning a polyetherimide nonwoven fabric, the fibers and then melted by micro-programmed heat treatment, generation of weld acting between adjacent fibers, the introduction of crosslinking point, a polyetherimide fiber membrane preparation having a crosslinked structure. Features polyetherimide fiber membranes are prepared by the invention has a crosslinked structure; high mechanical properties; pore structure adjustable; by adjusting the heat treatment parameters may control the degree of crosslinking and crosslinked structure profile; simple preparation process; employed commercial materials, raw materials widely, easy and industrial processes, has good prospects, in particular in terms of lithium divide, which exhibit comparable performance to the conventional polyolefin separator commercial performance of the battery, and in terms of thermal stability, porosity and liquid absorption rate was superior to the polyolefin separator.
