The invention relates to a method for controlling a power generation in a photovoltaic system with at least one connected in the photovoltaic submodule. The method is characterized by a successful forming in a Umschaltzeittakt alternately switching the submodule between an on switching state and a bypass-switching state, wherein the sub-module is connected with the on-switching state of the photovoltaic system and is bridged in the bypass-switching state. During the bypass-switching state a total current of the photovoltaic system is measured and stored a value determined from setpoint. During the on-state of a switching Submodulstromstarke is measured and compared with the target value, wherein an independently success end of the Umschaltzeittakt resetting of the submodule is performed in the bypass-switching state if a drop of the Submodulstromstarke below the target value.
