Chapter 10 – Lipid Membrane Properties

The previous chapter ( Chapter 9) investigated some of the major principles of the “Fluid Mosaic” model. While these principles form the core of understanding basic membrane structure, there are many other, more poorly understood membrane properties and concepts that must be considered. Membranes are just very complex. Several of these properties will be discussed in Chapters 10 and 11.
