Remote desktop video coding method and device

The embodiment of the invention provides a remote desktop video coding method and device. The remote desktop video coding method comprises the steps of monitoring the window state in a remote desktop, and determining an active window of the current frame; extracting a target reference frame matched with the active window of the current frame from a pre-established reference frame list; and coding the current frame according to the extracted target reference frame. The remote desktop video coding method and device provided by the embodiment of the invention can solve a problem that a coder at present is high in CPU occupation.
