Synthesis of a new type of polymer on hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene

2006
When the phosphorus atoms in polyphosphazenes with chain and ring structures are linked to various substituents the polymers display versatile functions for corresponding changes of the physical and chemical properties. In this paper, the two-dimensional netmork polymers with structural unit of cyclic polyphosphazene and condensed glycol such as poly(triethylene glycol cyclotriphosphazene) and poly(diethylene glycol cyclotriphosphazene) were synthesized from hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol sodium, and sodium carbonate as proton absorber,in 1,4-dioxane solvent. They were characterized by elemental analysis,IR,X-ray diffraction and TGA etc.Experimental results show that above compounds are resistant to acids(hydrochloride acid, sulfuric acid and nitric acid),alkalis(sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide) and organic solvents.
