An Inverted E-Like Antenna Loaded with Lumped Elements for 5MHz-343MHz Applications

2019
In this paper, an inverted E-like monopole antenna is proposed, which is loaded with several lumped elements to achieve a super wideband for HF, VHF, UHF and P-band applications. The proposed antenna is fed by coplanar waveguide (CPW) and consists of an inverted E-like radiation patch and CPW ground plane. The entire size of the antenna system is $0.006\lambda\times 0.0058\lambda$ , where $\lambda$ is the free-space wavelength at the lowest resonant frequency. To enhance the performance of the miniaturization antenna, several lumped elements are incorporated into the antenna system. By modeling and optimizing in the HFSS, the simulated result demonstrates that the proposed antenna system can realize 68.6:1 bandwidth from 5 MHz to 343 MHz.
